I am really appreciating, the value of warm positive relationships, developed over time, loyalty, trust and confidence that comes from steadfast colleagues. Noting the importance of professionalism, dedication, bold passion and love. Despite our current climate in the arts, we can help each other by creating wins/wins and fulfilling our dreams…I have noted it has been a very busy period (in a really good way!) for myself and other arts colleagues. My own profile as a professional writer is moving forward at an amazing pace…! It is now confirmed that Affective Digital Histories – Hidden Stories Project Centre for New Writing Leicester University & Phoenix Square Leicester http://affectivedigitalhistories.org.uk will publish a paperback book of the all Creative Writing commissions – including my choreopoem ‘Love the Life You Live…Live the Life You Love’ This will be launched in March 2015! (watch this space for further details) I am beside my self with joy at this news
There is more good news …I have been contacted by a Poetry Editor to submit one of my poems, for a new East Midlands Poetry Anthology book, for Crystal Clear Creators http://www.crystalclearcreators.org.uk to be published later this year also. Wow! That is a delightful double whammy! At times the excitement for me right now just bubbles over.
Just really thrilled to have been appointed to a new role as Music Director at 2 Funky Arts, http://www.2funkyarts.co.uk/site/about_us_71.asp working freelance for Dare to Diva company for a new Young Peoples Music Project. So looking forward to later this year, to working with Young People, along with with excellent live session musicians and other music industry colleagues. We will be helping to create I am sure, some wonderful original music, as well advising with project work. Recently, I have also qualified as a Gold Arts Award Assessor with Trinity College London (I already have my Bronze & Sliver). Committed as I am to Young People’s artistic and profession, these qualifications for young people, is now the current bench mark in the arts cultural sector. I am pleased to know they also offer potential UKAS points towards University Admissions etc.
