Strange Fruit – Tribute to Billie Holiday Concert Sept 25th 2015 at the plush newly re-furbished City Hall Charles Street Leicester, features a star studded line up of diva singers, Carol Leeming, Mellow Baku , Lydia Unsudimi and Dee Joseph, with new arrangements of Billie Holiday songs, from musically brilliant Music Director & Pianist Neil Hunter, leading a hot trio of Marcus Joseph on Sax and Mark Trounson on Bass. Serendipity Arts organization lead by Pawlet Brookes working with Amy Grain, are now very busy with preparations , for a retro glamorous gala themed evening, paying tribute to the late great singer Billie Holiday. This historic event will also launch the Leicester Black History Month Programme/Brochure.
