Vex Play Onstage 12 Angry Women March 4th 2016 Brighton Dome Theatre

Carol Leeming’s play titled Vex, set on a war ravaged caribbean island, with a black female character  who works at an NGO, who becomes angry, at the state of affairs  on the island in particular  the fate of its indigenous people. Vex  debuted as part of The 12 Angry Women Theatre Production,  a rehearsed reading/sharing event featuring 11 other women writers, on Fri March 4th Brighton Dome Theatre. The Event was a complete sell out. With a lively enthusiastic audience, who warmly received a wide range of short play narratives and performances, that included music and dance, the women were commissioned to write about what makes them angry, by producers Inroads and Writing South.

Producers after the performance,  asked the audience to write their response to the production they saw , as well as what makes them angry. The Producers will now fundraise to develop this exciting production further to tour venues in 2017.
