We are excited to announce news, that Carol Leeming Dare to Diva Productions have teamed up with Rob Gurney Digital Mechanic . To jointly produce a new video for Carol Leeming to showcase, her singer songwriting and poetry prowess. The video is a new collaboration and is Directed by Carol Leeming Dare to Diva productions with Rob Gurney Video Production at Digital Mechanic.
The one day shoot on April 10th 2016 was based indoors in the Cultural Quarter area of Leicester. With a team made up of members of Seven Five Film organisation, Ketna Butron Make Up, Dawn Rose Continuity & Costume Props, Jon Ellison Assistant Camera and Paddy Hodgkinson Music & Sound.
Carol choose to work with Rob, as she a had liked some of his previous work, both still and moving images, of local bands and other artists in Leicester. After a fruitful meeting at the Phoenix Cafe , they soon realised they were able to communicate very well to each other, their own creative and artistic ideas. The project is currently in post production and watch this space for further news and developments
This Monday May 23rd sees the start of the eagerly awaited, Festival 2Funky supports by Arts Council , its now in its 3rd successful year, offering a huge array of live music MOBO/Urban, plus Spoken Word Poetry , DJ’s & Workshops.
Carol Leeming Artistic Director Dare to Diva, curated and will Host/Compere on Tuesday May 24th the Spoken Word Poetry Night , with popular headliner Suli Breaks, along with The Orator, Shruti Chauhan, Poet Man, UG and Mr Shay. Great show at this new rapidly influential venue acquired by 2Funky Arts Vijay placing at the forefront of innovative local arts in Leicester.
On the Wednesday May 25th, Carol Leeming will continue with Host Compere duties for the national successful music platform of I LUV LIVE run from London with headliner Rapper Nadia Rose .I LUV LIVE now has an East Midlands base at 2 Funky Music Cafe offering the latest exciting up coming young music artists from across the UK.
Thursday May 26th sees Carol Leeming perform as guest lead singer, onstage to sing 90’s classics, this time with the sensational Funk Soul Collective Band. Along with other Leicester songstresses Cara Michelle and Lindsey Wells, Carol met and worked with these two fine singers as Music Director, when they were both were successful members of the first 2Funky Arts Project Live music industry training cohort in 2015.
