Carol Leeming was accompanied by close family and friends as guests and was thrilled to receive her MBE Award for services to arts and culture in Leicester, as poet and playwright, from HRH Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace March 7th 2019. Traveling from Leicester that morning, for the Investiture Ceremony held in the Grand Ballroom of Buckingham Palace, it proved to be a rare and wonderful insight, into tradition and ceremony. This important occasion provided, a unique opportunity also to meet and network with other recipients, from arts media and entertainment. After the hour long ceremony Carol ad her party made their way to Soho for a Lunch celebration, followed by sight seeing around Soho Covent Garden and West End.
